Eaves Devices has extensive experience with some of the most demanding battery applications. From under the sea to space, Eaves Devices has supported challenging technical and schedule requirements. Our previous installations have included chargers, battery management, output power regulation and advanced supervisory controls. Often a complete data package is also supplied that includes reports on reliability, stress, radiation tolerance and Failure Modes and Effects analysis.

B2 Bomber Lithium-ion upgrade
55Ah Li-ion cells, Regulation electronics allow drop-in replacement for legacy Ni-Cd battery. Eaves Devices provided battery management electronics, output regulation stage and data package. Status : In Flight
XSS-11 Satellite
8 Cells, Li-ion, Radiation Tolerant Design. Eaves Devices provided battery management electronics and a full data package. Status : In Flight
Small Li-ion Battery Pack Design
Each battery contained two independent 12V sections using 18650 Li-ion cells. Eaves Devices designed, prototyped and tested low power battery management electronics that monitor, equalize and protect the pack using a high power solid state switch design. Status : In Test at Customer
Advanced Seal Delivery System (ASDS)
Combatant Submersible, More than 1000 large Li-ion cells. Eaves Devices provided battery management electronics and firmware for the fully networked system. System provided with interface capabilities to ship computer. Status : In operation
Advanced Electric Ship Demonstrator (AESD)
130 foot long model of the DDG-51 Destroyer. Electric Propulsion system powered by 740, VRLA Monoblocks. Multiple 1.6kV strings provide power to a modular drive system. Eaves Devices provided high density chargers, the battery management system and central battery management computer. Each monoblock voltage and temperature is monitored and equalized by the system.
